Fractora explained

An energy-based treatment family designed to heat selected layers of tissue and support smoother, firmer-looking skin.

Fractora treatments use bipolar radiofrequency energy to create controlled thermal stimulation in selected layers of the skin. The treatment can be customized according to your skin condition, treatment area, desired correction, and tolerance for recovery.

Thermal stimulation can produce immediate tissue contraction while supporting longer-term collagen remodeling. Improvements develop gradually as the treated area heals and new collagen organization occurs.

The name “Fractora” has been used for different applicators and treatment approaches. Dr. Kenneth Jesser will determine whether your goals are best addressed with a gentler Firm protocol, fractional pin-based radiofrequency, or another skin-tightening treatment.

Firm Protocol

Comfort-focused RF tightening

A non-ablative radiofrequency approach may be recommended to gradually improve mild laxity through a scheduled treatment series with limited disruption to daily life.

Fractional RF Protocol

Deeper resurfacing and remodeling

Fractional pin-based radiofrequency may be selected for concerns such as wrinkles, scars, uneven texture, and more advanced rejuvenation goals. Recovery depends on depth and intensity.

Your protocol may differ

The exact device tip, settings, number of sessions, and treatment interval must be confirmed during your consultation. Not every patient needs the same Fractora procedure.

Treatment Goals

Designed for more than one dimension of aging skin.

Fractora treatments may be customized to target surface irregularities and deeper tissue concerns. The best approach depends on your skin, goals, and the protocol recommended by Dr. Jesser.

01

Skin Laxity

Support firmer-looking skin on selected areas of the face, neck, arms, abdomen, and body.

02

Fine Lines

Improve the appearance of early lines and creasing through controlled tissue remodeling.

03

Deep Wrinkles

More intensive fractional settings may be considered for visible lines and etched-in texture.

04

Acne Scars

Fractional RF microneedling may improve selected depressed scars and uneven skin texture.

05

Uneven Texture

Refine roughness and support a smoother, more uniform-looking skin surface.

06

Tone & Pigment Concerns

Some fractional protocols may improve selected discoloration or vascular irregularities, although a laser or IPL treatment may be more appropriate for certain concerns.

Treatment Areas

Tightening and remodeling for the face and body.

Treatment areas and settings are selected only after evaluating skin thickness, tissue laxity, scarring, sensitivity, and your desired result.

01

Neck

Address crepey texture, mild laxity, and visible signs of aging along the neck.

02

Jowls

Support a firmer-looking lower face and cleaner jawline appearance.

03

Face

Target wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged-looking pores, and uneven texture.

04

Upper Arms

Improve the appearance of mildly lax skin sometimes described as “bat wings.”

05

Abdomen

Support firmer-looking skin in selected abdominal areas when appropriate.

06

Custom Areas

Dr. Jesser may recommend treatment for another suitable area after evaluating your skin in person.

Personalized Planning

Which Fractora approach may fit your goals?

Explore the considerations below. Your selection does not diagnose your skin or replace an in-person consultation.

Series recommendations

The practice may recommend approximately six to eight weekly sessions for certain Firm protocols. Fractional resurfacing protocols may use a different number of treatments and longer intervals.

A comfort-focused Firm protocol or another non-ablative radiofrequency treatment may be considered when the main goal is gradual tightening with less recovery.
Fractional pin-based radiofrequency may be more appropriate because it can create controlled treatment zones at customized depths to support remodeling.
Fractora may offer a non-surgical option for selected skin concerns, but it cannot reproduce every result achievable through excisional surgery.
Certain radiofrequency protocols can be used on selected body areas. Candidacy depends on the amount of laxity, skin quality, and whether another body-contouring treatment would be more suitable.
Lower-intensity treatments generally involve less recovery but may require more sessions. More intensive fractional treatments may provide greater correction with more visible healing.

STEP 04

Protect

You receive aftercare instructions regarding skincare, sun avoidance, cleansing, activity, and signs that require a call.

Results & Recovery

Improvement develops as the skin remodels.

Your recovery depends on the treatment method and intensity. A gentler Firm treatment may produce temporary warmth or redness, while fractional pin-based procedures may cause more visible redness, swelling, sensitivity, or small treatment marks.

New collagen remodeling is gradual. Patients may notice early tightening or textural changes, with continued improvement over subsequent weeks and months.

Immediately After

Temporary redness or warmth.

The treated area may look flushed and feel warm, tight, tender, or mildly swollen depending on treatment intensity.

Following Days

Skin begins its recovery.

Fractional protocols may involve temporary pinpoint marks, roughness, flaking, or sensitivity. Follow the office’s aftercare directions closely.

Following Weeks

Tone and texture evolve.

The skin may begin to look smoother and firmer as swelling settles and tissue remodeling progresses.

Following Months

Collagen remodeling continues.

Final timing and degree of improvement vary according to the protocol, treatment area, healing response, and treatment series.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fractora™ Firm and fractional RF, explained.

What is Fractora™ Firm?
Fractora Firm refers to a radiofrequency-based skin-tightening protocol intended to heat selected tissue layers and support gradual contraction and collagen remodeling. The exact applicator and settings used by the practice should be confirmed during your consultation.
Is Fractora the same as RF microneedling?
Fractora is a treatment family that has included fractional pin-based radiofrequency applicators. Some Fractora protocols use pins to deliver RF at customized depths, while a Firm protocol may be designed as a gentler tightening treatment. Dr. Jesser will explain the exact treatment recommended for you.
What concerns can Fractora treat?
Depending on the selected protocol, Fractora may improve mild skin laxity, wrinkles, rough texture, acne scars, enlarged-looking pores, and selected tone irregularities. Not every concern is treated with the same applicator or settings.
What areas can be treated?
Common areas include the face, neck, jawline, jowls, upper arms, and abdomen. Candidacy depends on skin thickness, laxity, scarring, medical history, and the amount of correction needed.
How many Fractora Firm sessions will I need?
The practice may recommend approximately six to eight weekly sessions for certain Firm tightening protocols. Fractional resurfacing treatments may require fewer sessions with longer intervals. Your treatment schedule will be customized.
Does Fractora treatment hurt?
Sensation depends on the treatment type and intensity. A Firm treatment may feel warm, while pin-based fractional RF may require topical numbing and can feel like pressure, heat, or brief pinpricks.
Is there downtime?
Downtime varies. Gentler treatments may cause temporary warmth or redness. Deeper fractional procedures may involve several days of redness, swelling, roughness, sensitivity, or visible treatment marks.
When will I see results?
Some patients notice early tightening or textural changes after treatment, but collagen remodeling is gradual. Improvement may continue over the following weeks and months.
Can Fractora replace surgery?
Fractora can improve selected concerns without surgery, but it cannot duplicate every result of a surgical lift or skin-removal procedure. Significant laxity may require a different treatment.
Is Fractora safe for every skin tone?
Fractional radiofrequency can be used across a range of skin tones, but settings must be selected carefully. A consultation is required to evaluate pigment history, scarring risk, medications, active skin conditions, and recent sun exposure.
