Profound is a new device that uses radiofrequency needles and is the next step in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. It regenerates your collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. By generating hyaluronic acid — used for fillers — it can specifically volumize parts of your face and possibly create a more youthful look. The treatment is appropriate for both women and men. HOW LONG DOES PROFOUND RF TREATMENT TAKE?
Profound usually requires one and occasionally two treatments. It is performed with local anesthesia. The treatment takes one hour.
RECOVERY PERIOD
There is downtime with Profound. You may have mild redness for 24 hours. You may also have some bruising. Post-procedure discomfort is minimal for most patients. The most common post-procedure symptom is swelling. Depending on the individual, this swelling can last 7-10 days.
HOW LONG WILL RESULTS LAST
Though results maybe seen in as little as two weeks, the results are gradual, and the full effect may take up to six months. The lifting and tightening may last for at least 2 years, though the smoothing and volumization may last longer.
